This is a beautiful collection of the collected works of John Constable, who is one of my favorite artists. Note, the collection is not complete or exhaustive, but it is very extensive. All of the major oil paintings are included, but not all of the sketches and drawings. (There is a nice sampling of these works, however.) The quality of the reproductions is excellent, which is an issue with many other, lesser publications. The narrative description is sparse, but you wouldn't purchase this book for the text. It is all about the photos, and in that regard, the book shines.
